The Younas Family Group has taken over the freehold ownership of six homes for older people in the North of England and the Midlands.

The homes are Boughton Manor in Boughton, Newark; Claremount House in Halifax; Coundon Manor in Coventry; Meadows in Thringstone, Coalville, Leicestershire; Preston Private in Fulwood, and Willows Chesterfield in Mastin Moor, Chesterfield.

The homes, which previously belonged to Priory, provide residential and nursing care to older people, and some provide specialist dementia care:

Rebekah Cresswell, Priory’s chief executive. said: “We are delighted to have worked with the Younas Family Group on their acquisition of six homes in the North of England and the Midlands from Priory Adult Care’s portfolio. Like Priory, the Younas Family Group is dedicated to providing high-quality care to their residents and we are expecting a smooth transition, as we have experienced with previous sales to them. All of the current staff will continue to work with the homes, and our residents, families and carers can be reassured of continuity in their care. The sale is part of a forward-looking strategy to enable Priory to focus on its core services in health, and learning disability and autism adult social care.”

Tanzeel Younas, chief executive of the Younas Family Group, commented: “We are proud to have acquired these six care homes, which complement our existing portfolio perfectly, and we look forward to continuing to deliver outstanding care to their residents. It’s been a great pleasure working with Rebekah and the team at Priory again. We are excited to be diversifying into new areas and bringing our caring, family approach to more residents nationally.”
