Sandstone appoints regional head of catering and hospitality
Sandstone Care Group has appointed Rachelle White to the new role of regional head of catering and hospitality.
White joined Sandstone in 2017 as chef at Oak Springs Care Home in Liverpool. She will oversee catering at Sandstone’s nine care homes, ensuring menus are varied and suitable for all diets, and will look at ways to improve the dining experience.
Steven Hamblett, operations director for Sandstone Care Group, said: “The idea to have a regional head of catering came from Sandstone’s commitment to provide nutritional, high-quality meals for our residents, across all of our care homes. We want to ensure the quality and variety of every meal is consistent and all dietary requirements are catered for.”
“Having joined the team back in 2017 as a chef at Oak Springs, I know all the systems and processes well and have lots of ideas for how to build on our amazing work,” said White. ” My goal is to keep bringing nutritious, satisfying meals to our residents, who deserve the very best standards of care – which includes the meals they eat every day.”
