Staff and residents at The Old Rectory in Dymchurch are celebrating after being named one of the region’s Top 20 care homes.

The care home, which is run by ACI Care, was named one of the best in Southeast England in the carehome.co.uk Top 20 Care Home Awards.

Kelly Parker, registered manager of The Old Rectory, said: “We’re thrilled to be named alongside some other great care providers as one of the best care homes in the Southeast.

“The views of our residents and their families mean the most to us, and we love hearing their feedback, so to win an award purely based on that gives us a great amount of pride. We also appreciate the time they take to leave these positive words on carehome.co.uk.

“It’s wonderful for our hard-working staff to be praised and our great caring environment to be recognised, and to have these words available for us to look back on is really rewarding.”

The annual awards recognise the top rated care homes in each region of the UK based on reviews from residents and service users as well as their family and friends. The site gives the chance for reviewers to leave their feedback on everything from the home’s facilities and care and support to its cleanliness, the dignity given to residents, food and drink, staff, activities, management, safety and security, rooms and value for money.

Some standout comments left on the site included: “I have total confidence in the excellent care and surroundings, with top priority given to health and well-being” and “The Old Rectory is a caring, friendly community that you can trust.”
