Skills for Care endorses learning platform Florence Academy

Workforce body Skills for Care has endorsed learning platform Florence Academy with a quality mark given to providers who deliver high-quality learning and development to the adult social care.

Florence Academy, which is already aligned to the Core Skills Training Framework and CPD-accredited, provides health and social care courses for nurses, care assistants and support workers.

Florence Academy has delivered more than six million courses worldwide.  It supports hundreds of care homes across the UK to keep with their care staff compliant with accredited training.

Dr. Charles Armitage, former NHS doctor and Florence chief executive, said: “To have been endorsed by the Skills for Care development body is an important professional stamp of approval. “

He added: “Training and community are right at the core of our product, we’re providing clear and digestible training programmes to help drive real change in the lives of both care professionals and those they care for. It is essential that the workforce feels equipped to take on the many challenges which come as part of this career path, we’re here to provide that mental equipment.”

Florence has also launched a free Pathway to Care programme, designed to help school leavers learn key skills and build experience ahead of starting a Care Certificate or a nursing degree.
