Resicare acquires three Birmingham children’s homes

Resicare Alliance, a provider of specialist children’s residential services and family assessment centres, has acquired three children’s homes in Birmingham, previously trading as part of Aston Children’s Care Holdings (ACCH).

Donna Varley-Turner, chief executive at Resicare Alliance, said: “We are thrilled to have purchased an established business in this sector which will enable us to grow and enhance the business. Our properties provide the highest standard of people, facilities and equipment to ensure our young people have the best possible chance of growing, developing and improving.”

Established in 2012, Aston Children’s Care offers specialist care services to children and young adults with learning disabilities and complex behaviours due to childhood trauma. Over the past 11 years, the business has grown organically and now consists of seven homes across the Midlands.

The decision to sell these three homes was made after a comprehensive review of the organisation’s long-term goals, including expanding services, upgrading facilities, and enhancing the experience for the people in their care.

Mahesh Mehan, director at ACCH, said: “This sale is a strategic move for ACCH, allowing us to concentrate our efforts on delivering exceptional care and support to the adults in our transitional homes. We are confident that this decision will enable us to create an even stronger foundation for the future, as we continue to provide a safe and nurturing environment for vulnerable adults in the Midlands.”

Business property advisor Christie & Co facilitated the sale. Advisors were AGS Accountants, Higgs LLP Solicitors and Assersons Law Offices.

The three homes were sold for an undisclosed price.
