Margate care home changes hands

Denver and Misha Rajaratnam, who own Wychdene Care Home in Broadstairs, have purchased Treetops Residential Home in Margate, Kent, a 21-bedroom, double-fronted care home with a Good Care Quality Commission rating.

The home was previously owned by Indi and Navpreet Toot.

The Rajaratnams stated: “We are delighted to have bought our second care home, Treetops Residential Home, which operates with the same family values as our first home. We look forward to continuing to build on the strong reputation it has enjoyed using our experience in running another care home locally.”

Business property advisor Christie & Co facilitated the sale.

John Harrison, director, healthcare at Christie & Co, said: “We have agreed a good number of care home sales in the Southeast already this year, and are seeing continued demand from buyers.”

Treetops Residential Home was sold for an undisclosed price.
