Leadership programme launched for learning disability and autism sector

ARC England and My Home Life England (part of City University of London) have launched a unique Leadership Support and Development Programme for staff in the learning disability and autism sector.

The six-month programme is designed for busy leaders and aspiring leaders in learning disability and autism services, providing the opportunity to reflect, build capacity and resilience with a focus on supporting positive practice and quality of life.

My Home Life’s recent impact report reveals that 98% of care leaders who studied with them reported an increase in the quality of their management and leadership and an incredible 99% reported improvement in understanding of how to improve the culture of care.

The programme provides a rare opportunity to reflect and learn in a group of leaders whose focus is working alongside people with learning disabilities, autism or other additional needs. The expertise and experience of participants helps shape the content of the programme, particularly in the facilitated action learning sets, where participants identify issues to explore and learn together.

The course is taught via in-person workshop days, virtual sessions and Action Learning Sets delivered by My Home Life England at City University of London.
