WATCH: QCS raises money to support children with learning difficulties
QCS is supporting the latest fundraising project, the ‘Strictly Makaton challenge’ by Learn and Thrive. The initiative has already raised £15.8k to fund the new resources for people with Down’s syndrome and other learning difficulties.
QCS chief executive Nikki Walker, who participated in the challenge, had the privilege to see a little girl called Freja thrive despite going through some very challenging times: “It is important that Learn and Thrive can support everyone to access learning resources so that those with Down’s syndrome can thrive just like Freja has.”
Learn and Thrive is a new charity developing FREE online learning tools for people with Down’s syndrome. We have supported a few of their projects since the pandemic when parents and children faced immense difficulties when looking for specialist teaching and speech therapy.
