Tributes have been paid to a “highly respected” care home manager after her body was found at her home.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The body of a 56-year-old woman was found at a property in the Leslie Crescent area of Alford, around 3.45pm on Monday, 12 June, 2023. Enquiries are ongoing into the death, however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”

Reilly is reported to have worked for The Richmond Fellowship Scotland, which supports around 2,500 people with a broad range of needs.

A spokesperson for The Richmond Fellowship Scotland said: “We are deeply saddened by the passing of our highly respected colleague.

Tributes poured in following the sad news.

A neighbour told The Press & Journal: “It’s such a shock and so sad, especially when it happens to such a lovely person.

“I would see Angie rushing around from place to place, she was always in a hurry.

“She was in charge of several care homes and were often short-staffed. But they always said Angie would sort it and Angie did.

“She did a great job. My daughter who worked with her was very fond of her.

“It’s going to be an awful shock for the folks up there.

“Angie was a really lovely person.”
