The Prestige Group buys Durham care home

The Prestige Group has acquired West Lodge Care Home in Crook, County Durham, a family-run residential care facility registered for up to 60 residents.
The home has been owned by the Higginbotham family since 1989 and was brought to market due to their desire to retire.
The Prestige Group owns nine other homes across the Northeast.
A spokesperson at The Prestige Group said: “West Lodge is an excellent fit with Prestige Care Group and, in many ways, mirrors our own values. We’re very excited to build on the excellent reputation that West Lodge already has and to further support its future growth and development as a fantastic service for the local communities. As an operator, we have gradually been expanding across the Northeast, and we’ll be making some further exciting announcements in the coming weeks on that note.”
Business property advisor Christie & Co facilitated the sale. West Lodge Care Home was sold for an undisclosed price
