Superior Care and Home Instead among UK’s best companies to work for

Martin Jones, chief executive of Home Instead UK & International

Care group Superior Care Midlands and home care company Home Instead have been recognised as two of the best companies to work for in the UK.

Home Instead’s national office in Cheshire and Superior Care‘s care homes in Oldbury and Malvern were named in The Sunday Times‘ Best Places to Work 2023 list for medium-sized businesses. Staff members completed an anonymous survey exploring areas such as wellbeing, inclusivity and employee benefits.

The Sunday Times highlighted the “daily huddles” and monthly all-hands sessions which keep staff abreast of developments at Home Instead’s head office. Professional training and access to the company coach is offered to all employees. There are charity initiatives, and an annual carol concert at Manchester Cathedral.

Martin Jones, chief executive of Home Instead UK & International, said, “We are a people business through and through and that starts with our national office team of over 80 individuals. They go the extra mile every day to support our network of over 250 franchise offices and it’s deserving that we give them a great working environment.”

The Sunday Times highlighted Superior Care’s flexible schedules, job-sharing opportunities, wellbeing days, training and health insurance, as well as its diversity and inclusion programmes for employees from under-represented groups.

Shindar Chall, Superior Care chief executive, said: “We are proud to have created an environment where our employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to deliver the highest quality care to our residents.”
