Strictly judge brightens care home resident’s day

Resident Peggy Anderson with family members

A resident at Goodwins Hall in King’s Lynn was delighted to receive a video message from a Strictly Come Dancing star after sending him a poem she had written.

Dedicated Strictly fan Peggy Anderson wrote a heartfelt poem dedicated to her favourite judge Anton Du Beke, and Katie Pye, lifestyles co-ordinator at the home, sent it to the star.

Du Beke sent Peggy a personal video message recorded on a golf course, praising Peggy’s poetic talents. He said that she would have surely earned a 12 from late Strictly judge Len Goodman, who was also known for his appreciation of a good poem.

Goodwins Hall is run by provider Athena Care Homes.
