LNT Care Developments - The Filberts in Reading

LNT Care Developments has acquired The Filberts, a 13,570 square feet modern office building in Reading, which it is developing into a 66-bedroom care home, following a £3.5 million property deal for the building, which is the former home of Heart Radio.

The two-story building built in 2000 will become a three-storey care home offering 16 square metres of bedrooms with fully en suite wet room facilities. a cinema room, hairdressing salon, garden room, library, coffee shop and landscaped gardens. The site is 1.43-acres with ample car parking

The vendor was commercial property portfolio firm Lewis Investment, an independent financial services firm specialising in facilitating commercial property investments through pension syndicates and property clubs.

LNT Care Developments, based in Garforth, West Yorkshire, is a purpose-built residential care home developer and constructor currently working on 20 sites across the UK, with a pipeline of more than 100 more sites.

Andrew Long, of LNT Care Developments, said: “These are exciting times as we continue to build state-of-the-art care homes across the UK. Our new Reading site is perfectly located for residents, staff and visitors and we look forward to beginning construction work.”

The deal was negotiated by property consultancy Vail Williams.
