Pay rise for Priory health and social care workers

Rebekah Cresswell

Priory Adult Care is to pay the Real Living Wage, a minimum of £9.90 an hour, to its support workers and healthcare assistants working in residential care homes.

Priory chief executive Rebekah Cresswell said: “Having worked in adult care, I have first-hand knowledge of the importance of our support workers and the challenges they face. I hope this pay rise reinforces how, at Priory, we value care as a career. Care is a vocation with purpose, and one that is fundamental to our society. That’s why at Priory we’re committed to investing in our support workers and supporting them to grow in their roles and careers.”
