Gugan Healthcare has acquired Hillcroft Nursing & Residential Care Home in Wordsley, Staffordshire, from Astley Care.

The home provides care for 28 residents with physical needs and for people living with dementia.

Astley Care, which is owned by Jay Patel, continues to operate five homes across the Midlands and Cheshire.

The acquisition marks a return to the sector by Gugan Healthcare, which sold its previous care home in North Wales last year. Gugan Healthcare owner Parthi Kandasamy said he was keen to build on the strong reputation Hillcroft has developed under Patel’s leadership.

The deal was brokered by business property advisor Montane Care.
