Kingsley Healthcare has been ranked the best UK employer for wellbeing in a prestigious inaugural awards.

The national care group topped a list of notable brands such as The Body Shop, Clarks, Jaguar Land Rover and John Lewis in the Indeed Work Wellbeing Awards.

Kingsley chief executive Daya Thayan, who co-founded the company with his wife Sumi and has grown it from one care home to a national provider employing more than 2,000 staff, said: “This is fantastic news as we look forward to celebrating our company’s 25th anniversary next year. This is all the more important as the group embarks on rapid expansion while retaining the family values that make us different to others.

Employers must have received at least 100 unique ratings to be considered for the awards. Kingsley Healthcare topped the list with a Work Wellbeing Score of 85 out of a possible 100. It achieved scores in the top quadrant for each of the four wellbeing measurements employed: job enjoyment, contentment, meaningfulness and stress levels. It was also ranked in the top quadrant for each of the 11 sub-measurements that contribute to the overall score, such as trust, inclusion and management.
