Care homes operated by Ideal Carehomes are handing out free packed lunches for children during the school holidays.

The provider’s ‘Let’s Do Lunch’ initiative enables families to visit their nearest care home and pick up a lunch comprising sandwiches, fruit, a drink and some tasty treats.

Ideal Carehomes’ managing director at Stacey Linn, said: “As many children start their summer holidays, the excitement will be muted for thousands of parents who will be nervous about what the next six weeks means for them financially.
