A former frontline carer has risen through the ranks to become managing director and franchisee of a home care franchise.

Steve Elliot, Walfinch franchisee and managing director for the Hampstead and Camden branch, has almost two decades experience in the home care sector. He started as a carer before progressing into various managerial positions, including registered manager for two Walfinch branches.

“Having been a carer, I know the importance of providing friendly, reliable and personalised care to each and every person we meet,” said Elliot. “My aim is to create a hyper-local, outstanding service that is known for its truly caring approach.”

Walfinch Hampstead and Camden provides services including elderly care, convalescent care, support with errands or appointments, live-in care and companionship. Elliot is currently recruiting carers to join the team.

Walfinch franchisees gain access to resources including the business model, launch plan, optimised operating procedures, systems and quality standards, business guidance, ongoing training and access to a network of like-minded franchisees.  Walfinch has also invested in technology to provide franchisees with a dedicated CRM system and app to efficiently roster visits and manage client information.

Amrit Dhaliwal, Walfinch chief executive, said: “I would like to extend a warm welcome to Steve and look forward to working with him to expand the reach of the branch across Hampstead, Belsize Park, Camden, Willesden and the wider NW postcode area.”
