Barchester Healthcare’s Falmouth Court Care Home in Cornwall has been celebrating after it was rated Good in all areas by the CQC.

Residents, staff, families and the community came together for a garden party to celebrate the success, with a musical performance from band Sounds R Us, cakes and treats prepared by the homes kitchen team, and Pimm’s and prosecco on offer. 

The CQC inspected the home on 21 April 2023 and rated it as Good in all five areas.  The report stated that residents at the home receive good quality person-centred care, and that residents are treated with kindness by caring staff who listen to their requests and support them in a respectful and dignified way. 

Residents reported that they were very happy living at the home. The report found that staff were very positive about working at Falmouth Court. One staff member said: “The manager is a good communicator and is supportive.  She encourages the residents to be part of everything and is passionate about Falmouth Court.” 

Haley Reeve-Larson, general manager at Falmouth Court Care Home, said: “We are absolutely thrilled that Falmouth Court care home has been rated Good following the CQC’s most recent inspection.  It is fantastic to have the hard work and dedication of everyone here recognised, we have a fantastic team here and I am incredibly proud of each and every one of them.”
