CQC rating is ‘all good’ for Wiltshire care home
A Wiltshire care home has celebrated being rated Good in all categories by the CQC.
Avon Court, part of Avonbourne Care Centre in Old Sarum, which is run by The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) was inspected by the CQC in March.
Linda Knifton, area operations manager for Avon Court, said: “I am absolutely delighted with the results of our inspection. To be rated Good in the areas inspected is fantastic. We have a strong team at Avon Court and they have worked really hard to get to where they are now. It is testament to their efforts that the CQC has awarded this Good rating.”
The CQC found the care home was both safe and well-led and that residents were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives by the care team.
The CQC report the team had developed good relationships with health and social care professionals and community organisations.
It also referenced the “friendly and respectful way” the team interacted with residents and their families, who are “content and comfortable” with them.
OSJCT was recently named a Top 20 Care Home Group by carehome.co.uk.
