Consensus acquires Creative Care

Specialist support service Consensus has acquired residential care and support provider Creative Care.

Both companies support people with autism, learning difficulties, and other complex needs. Creative Care runs ten residential services across the east midlands. It was set up in 2005. Consensus meanwhile has over 100 services supporting more than 600 people across the UK with more than 2,000 staff.

Creative Care’s current chief executive, Ian Coldrick, will leave the business as part of the transaction, and all other employees of Creative Care, including the chief operating officer Ben Blackburn, will remain.

Paula Keys, chief executive of Consensus said: “I am delighted to welcome the talented and committed team at Creative Care as we expand our services in the East Midlands. I would like to thank Ian Coldrick for facilitating a smooth transition and for all he has done over the last 7 years to make Creative Care the great organisation that it is.”

Blackburn said: “This transition marks an exciting new chapter for Creative Care. Consensus shares many of the same values that have always been at the heart of Creative Care, and we will continue to deliver exceptional care under our new leadership.”
