A South Yorkshire care home has held an event to introduce its newly appointed manager to families, local community members, support services and those seeking a care home.

The ‘meet the manager’ event was held at Runwood Homes’ Ivy Court in Doncaster on 5 January.

Home manager Stacey Dean said: “The open house was a huge success. It was great to meet families and people from the local community and introduce myself as Ivy Court’s new home manager.

“It was also nice to be able to showcase the home and let relatives and visitors see what life at Ivy Court really is about.”

Attendees had the chance to chat with Dean, ask questions and enjoy cheese and wine in the care home’s café bar.

Visitors were also encouraged to explore Ivy Court, gaining insight into the vibrant community the care home aims to foster.

The open house allowed families to familiarise themselves with the facilities and homely atmosphere, making it an invaluable opportunity for those considering care options for their loved ones.
