Closed care home acquired by Good Day

Good Day Care Homes has acquired the Heights Care Home, which closed in November 2022.

The Heights is a 33-bedroom purpose-built property constructed in the 1990s, previously registered for 36 residents. It is based in the north east Derbyshire village of Tupton and closed in November 2022.

Good Day owns Jubilee Care Home, a 59-bed home in Rotherham which opened in November 2019. It also owns 56-bed Sheffield-based Alexander Court which it acquired in September 2023.

Good Day’s business development director Alexmon Baby said: “With the Heights, we plan to refurbish the building and to reopen the home as a dedicated EMI residential/nursing facility, with in the next 6 months. Looking ahead, we are committed to expanding Good Day Care Homes into a large-scale care provider, delivering high-quality services across a broader portfolio.”

Christie & Co advised on the deal.
