Caring Times editor-in-chief Lee Peart is donning his running shoes to raise funds for The Care Workers Charity next month.

Peart will be among over 16,000 runners representing over 500 charities at the run on Sunday, 9 October.

Peart said: “These are tough times for many care workers who are really struggling with the rising cost of living. There’s never been a better moment to support our heroic care workforce. I am really looking forward to taking on the challenge and raising money for such a great cause.”

The Royal Parks Half Marathon was built and developed as a fundraising event.

In the past 14 years, the event has raised over £50 million for vital causes around the UK.

The unique course covers four of London’s Royal Park as well as many of London’s iconic landmarks.
