Job site Indeed has compiled a list of “the top 25 companies hiring the fastest” in the UK.

Those with knowledge of the care sector’s recruitment and retention crisis may be unsurprised to learn that care providers make up more than a quarter of the 25 companies listed.

The post on Indeed’s website said: “With hundreds of thousands of jobseekers looking for work, this timely resource can help candidates access suitable opportunities expeditiously and help them identify companies that advance the recruitment process swiftly.”

On the methodology behind the list, it added: “Employers that accomplished at least 25 measured hires (or hired signals) and were among the top 1,000 in total job postings between 1 March 2024 and 31 May 2024 were considered for this list.

“To ensure fairness, recruitment firms, staffing agencies and organisations that operate seasonally were not eligible for the list.”

While a bus company took the number-one spot, ostensibly hiring 10 times faster than the average UK employer, second place was occupied by Health Quality Care, which hires 6.7 times faster than average.
