Care provider to offer supported living scheme in Herefordshire

Radis Community Care

Care provider Radis Community Care is renovating a former care home to launch a new supported living scheme in Leominster, Herefordshire.

Newman’s Care Home was established nearly 50 years ago and is being turned into a building suitable for people with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders and physical disabilities. Four terraced houses will house nine clients, four of whom have lived at the care home for most of their adult lives.

Renovations are being made to modernise the property and an extension is being built on the ground floor to assist clients with limited mobility.

Les Newman, owner of the former Newman’s Care Home, said: “With such a long history, it is nice to know that this legacy will continue under Radis Community Care’s supported living banner. Knowing that the current four residents will continue to live in their homes is wonderful.”

Established in 2001, Radis provides community-based social care and support for vulnerable adults and children in England and Wales.
