Bupa care home achieves third Outstanding rating

Care home staff hold sign celebrating their Outstanding rating
Eglantine Villa Bupa Care home celebrates its third Outstanding CQC report.

Eglantine Villa Bupa Care Home has been rated Outstanding for the third time in a row.

Care Quality Commission inspectors praised the Dartford home’s person-centred culture, which enables staff to build close relationships with residents and results in highly personalised care. The report highlighted the involvement of residents and families in decision-making, as well as the provision of care that promotes their dignity and encourages independence.

Rebecca Pearson, general manager, care services, Bupa Global & UK, said: “To be recognised as Outstanding by the CQC is always a huge achievement, but to retain Outstanding status three times in a row is a rare feat. It is testament to the hard work of the whole team, who have maintained their high standards in the long term.”

Bryony John, home manager at Eglantine Villa Bupa Care Home, said: “We always strive to go the extra mile for our residents, whether that’s organising an Australia-themed day for someone who loves to travel, or arranging for local children to visit the home to learn Spanish with our residents, so I was pleased to see all of the team’s hard work recognised.”
