Bluebird Care Winchester, Eastleigh & Romsey has partnered with Osborne School in Winchester to support its pupils with learning disabilities.

The home care provider will offer a dedicated team of care assistants to support pupils with personal care, moving and positioning, and nutrition & hydration.

Sonia White, headteacher of Osborne School, said: “Caring for pupils with diverse needs is at the heart of what we do, and we’re incredibly excited to form this innovative partnership. We’re proud to be rated Outstanding, so it makes perfect sense to partner with another Outstanding rated provider like Bluebird Care, as we know our pupils will receive expert care and more classroom learning as a result.”

Norman Murphy, managing director of Bluebird Care Winchester, Eastleigh and Romsey, said: “We’re delighted to form this partnership with Osborne School and make a meaningful difference to the lives of their pupils and teachers.

“It’s fabulous to move our outstanding care from the home to the classroom, just where it’s needed in this case.”

Osborne School supports 230 children and young adults, many with personal care needs. The pupils have a variety of learning and physical disabilities, and the Bluebird Care team are specially trained to support each of them.
