Bluebird Care Essex West celebrates 10-year anniversary
Bluebird Care Essex West has marked 10 years of providing home care services to its community with a celebratory event.
The team at the home care provider held the anniversary event at Knights Way Centre in Brentwood, attended by team members and their families, customers and several honorary guests including the Mayor of Brentwood, Olivia Sanders, and former councillor Shelia Murphy.
Bluebird Care Essex West’s owners Kevin and Tracey McCormack took ownership of their first franchise, Bluebird Care Essex, in 2009 following careers in professional care and business management. They went on to open Bluebird Care Essex West in 2012 and have built an established home care services and support franchise network.
The anniversary celebrations recognised individuals behind the achievements of Bluebird Care Essex West, with Clem Towlson, registered manager at the office, receiving a glass trophy in recognition of her 10 years of service, and several other long-serving care assistants and administrative staff receiving gifts for their work over the years.
After the presentations were complete, guests enjoyed a lunch of sandwiches and personalised cupcakes, baked by local food and drinks company The Only Way is Cake. As the celebrations drew to a close, everybody came together for a singalong and dance.
Bluebird Care Essex West customer, Madeline, said: “Thank you so much for bringing me to this wonderful celebration. I really enjoyed myself – I especially enjoyed dancing to the billy-rocker music!”
Towlson commented: “Celebrating our 10th anniversary with our care team and customers was amazing. This was a wonderful opportunity to bring our team and our customers together after such a difficult year. It wouldn’t have been possible without the great team members we have at Bluebird Care Essex West – thank you to my great care team.”
Bluebird Care Essex West senior care supervisor, Michelle Westacott, added: “It was so lovely to see our customers singing and having a great time. For some this was the first time they have been out in a long time.”
