Belmont Healthcare announces £14m development deal
Belmont Healthcare has announced a £14 million investment deal with Impact Healthcare REIT.
The deal sees Impact Healthcare REIT acquire two care homes in Kent with Belmont Healthcare becoming the group’s 14th tenant.
Adam Hutchison, Managing Director of Belmont Healthcare, said: “We are really excited to be working with Impact Healthcare REIT plc. This is the beginning of our development journey which will hopefully see us bring our unique care model to a wider and more varied market across the UK.”
The deal includes a purpose-built, 120-bed care home with further investment planned to reconfigure the home to deliver an innovative ‘household’ model of care for residents living with dementia.
The acquisition includes a potential deferred payment of up to £550k, subject to the home’s continued strong trading performance.
In addition, a second recently refurbished home will be sold and leased back to Belmont Healthcare.
