Beaumont Care Homes takes over Four Seasons Health Care’s remaining Northern Ireland homes
The dismantling of Four Seasons Health Care Group has passed another milestone with the sale of 29 care homes in Northern Ireland, comprising freehold or long leasehold properties with a total of 1,415 effective beds, located in the eastern side of the province.
The homes were sold to sold to Beaumont Care Homes for an undisclosed price.
This was the company’s remaining Northern Ireland property portfolio and associated care home business and significantly marks the exit of the group’s trading homes in Northern Ireland as part of its ongoing restructuring process.
While Beaumont Care Homes has been formed relatively recently, its senior management team has decades of care home management experience, having operated the Hill Care Group for more than 20 years.
Business property advisor Christie & Co completed on the sale.
Martin Gould, head of brokerage, care at Christie & Co said: “Following regulatory approval being received from the RQIA, and the completion of the transaction, it’s great to see that these homes and their operations have been able to transfer to the new provider smoothly.”
Last month, Christie & Co was appointed to sell Four Seasons Health Care Group’s remaining portfolio of 111 freehold care homes located across England, Scotland and Jersey, all trading under either Four Seasons Health Care or brighterkind.
Alvarez & Marsal was appointed as administrator to Four Seasons in April 2019. Private equity firm Terra Firma Capital Partners had owned the company since 2012.
