Barchester to build 70-bed care home in Eastbourne
Barchester Healthcare has bought a 1.5-acre site in Eastbourne which will see the development of a 70-bed care home.
The new 44,000 sq. ft. building has already been granted planning permission and will including a salon and cinema.
Tony Cole, managing director of Grafton Land and Property which sold the land, said: “This deal forms part of a nationwide programme delivering opportunities for modern new build nursing homes. It’s vital that homes such as this with large en-suite bedrooms, hairdressers, cinema, laundry and self-contained areas with their own dining rooms and lounges are developed in order to provide excellent care in attractive settings.”

The new care home has been designed by TDC Architects
