To help counteract the cost of living increase, family-owned Athena Care Homes is offering all its employees a free two-year Blue Light Card subscription.

The Blue Light Card provides employees of the NHS, emergency services, social care sector and armed forces with discounts online and in-store. With coverage at large national retailers and local businesses it offers discounts on products and services including holidays, cars, days out, fashion, gifts, insurance and phones. Some big names offering discounts include supermarkets such as Asda, as well as Currys, PC World, Apple and Halfords.

Athena Care Homes’ managing director Mala Agarwal said: “We are passionate about listening to feedback from our workforce and our recent team surveys highlighted a clear preference for store discounts. That’s why we’re delighted to be offering each of our team a free Blue Light Card.”

Athena Care Homes operates five homes in Norfolk, Ipswich, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
