Care provider Agincare has acquired care homes Critchill Court in Frome and Sunnymeade in Chard from Somerset Care Limited.

The two homes join Agincare’s growing network of 29 high-quality residential care and nursing homes nationwide, including Beaufort Park Retirement Village in Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset and 12 care homes in Wiltshire and Dorset. The company also runs supported living, home, live-in and extra care services across Wiltshire and Dorset.

Laura Coupe, managing director for Agincare’s residential care and nursing homes said: “Critchill Court and Sunnymeade are in safe hands, and our top priority is to ensure that a smooth transition takes place for everyone who lives or works at the homes.”

She added: “Agincare’s success is built on strong partnerships, and our positive track record over many years is evidence of the successful transfer and management of care homes and other community services from local authorities, charities, and other such organisations.”

Coupe said the company looked forward to managing, investing in and developing Critchill Court and Sunnymeade care homes, ensuring their long-term future, safeguarding jobs, and “providing local people with the peace of mind of having a home in their own community”.
