International law firm DAC Beachcroft (DACB) has appointed a new healthcare litigation partner, Gillian Muir.

Muir, a senior healthcare expert with more than 25 years’ experience in managing complex clinical negligence claims, arrives at DACB from Hempsons, where she was a partner and joint lead for the firm’s Newcastle health litigation team.

Muir represents a wide range of healthcare organisations, clinicians and medical professionals across North-East England. This includes supporting NHS trusts in undertaking investigations and advising on all aspects of litigation, including high-value brain injury cases.

Gillian becomes the latest partner to join DACB’s market-leading health and social care practice, with her appointment following that of health real estate specialists Victoria Armstrong and Lisa Geary in September and healthcare regulatory expert Susan Trigg in October.
