New Care home reopens to private market after providing NHS support during Covid
A New Care home in Cheshire has fully reopened to the private market after providing support to the NHS during Covid.
Bramhall Manor, a 71-bed care centre, was commissioned by Stockport NHS Foundation Trust shortly after opening in March 2020 as part of the Covid response.
A celebratory event was held to mark the home’s official re-opening led by manager and Bramhall resident Helen Hartley along with her parents Chris and Dave Easley who also live locally and support the home by giving their time voluntarily to help maintain the gardens and outdoor space.
Commissioning director Dawn Collett commented: “Our partnership with Stockport NHS Foundation Trust was incredibly successful demonstrating how public and private care partnerships can deliver best outcomes for patients, but with the pandemic lessening in severity, the number of beds are no longer needed and we are able to focus fully on supporting private patients in Bramhall and the surrounding areas offering comprehensive residential, respite and 24-hour nursing care. We have already welcomed our first residents, with more moving in over coming weeks.”
The trio was joined by chief operating officer at New Care Cath Fairhurst and commissioning director Dawn Collett plus new clinical staff who have recently joined the company.
