Rachel Yoxall was appointed as general manager of Signature at Moorlands Lodge care home in Hindhead, Surrey to lead a team of 120 providing residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care to 92 residents.

Yoxall is an experienced healthcare professional, who worked as a ward sister at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth for eight years. She joined Signature at Moorlands Lodge, in Hindhead five years ago as a nursing manager. Two years into the job she was promoted to deputy manager.

Yoxall said: “Signature at Moorlands Lodge is a beautiful home with fantastic people throughout it, from my colleagues to the residents. I am excited by this new chapter in my career as general manager. I have loved every minute of my time here so far, so it is wonderful to be given the opportunity to lead the team on a permanent basis.

“We have numerous plans for the next year with the team and residents, including carers week, mothering celebration, family quiz, nurses day, gala dinner in celebration of ladies’ day at Ascot and the street party for the coronation. We are all on this journey together, and I will continue to strive to be the best I can be in my role.”

Dawn Robinson, a resident at the care home, added: “We are delighted to have Rachel as general manager. Since joining the team she has been incredible, and I have truly benefitted from her excellent nursing expertise. She deserves this after all her outstanding work. She did wonderfully well during her trial period in the role, so we are all excited to watch Rachel’s vision for the home unfold over the coming months. She is extremely passionate, and I have no doubt she will bring forth some wonderful plans for the residents.”
