Wiltshire care home appoints manager

Mavern House in Wiltshire has appointed trained nurse Rosie Hardie as care home manager.

Hardie worked as a community district nurse for eight years, then moved to the NHS’s crisis intervention team in North Wales, eventually managing a group of more than 20 people. In the private sector she helped to establish a new dementia village in Chester and acted as regional manager across six care homes in North Wales and Chester.

“In addition to building great relationships with the residents and the caring team here, one of my first priorities will be to develop closer ties with the wider community and to introduce intergenerational activities with local primary schools,” said Hardie.  “I’m looking forward to making my contribution to ensuring the lives of our residents continue to be happy, purposeful and dignified.”

Mavern House provides nursing, dementia, residential and respite care for up to 54 residents. It is rated as ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) across all five of its assessment criteria; safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
