Wholesaler Bidfood launches interactive care home
UK wholesaler Bidfood has launched an interactive care home to highlight innovation in the sector.
The Interactive Care Home digital initiative allows users to explore six key areas and discover more than 75 interactive elements. Each area demonstrates how Bidfood’s services, expertise and relevant ranges integrate within a care home.
Visitors can watch a range of videos featuring Bidfood’s experts, who offer advice on issues including nutrition, creating innovative and delicious dishes, and how to use e-commerce site Bidfood Direct. Users can also access support tools on specialist diets, product guides, and increase their knowledge with Bidfood’s free e-learning site, Caterers Campus.
The Interactive Care Home is a collaboration between Bidfood’s chef development, marketing, e-commerce and technical service teams. Experts talk through topics from resident dining experiences to menu planning and food waste.
Business development controller for education and healthcare, Gavin Squires, said: “We are thrilled to have launched this latest campaign for the sector. Our aspiration is for this platform to become the go-to industry source, where all care homes can access a comprehensive overview of the support readily available for their care home from Bidfood.”
He added: “We aim for it to be a place for thought leadership, product innovation, and trailblazing content. The Interactive Care Home has been developed to become an integral tool for our customers as well as an innovative showcase to all care homes.”
