We Care Group celebrates excellence at inaugural Shining Star Awards
In a heartfelt celebration of dedication and commitment, We Care Group recently held its first-ever ‘Shining Star Awards’ ceremony, honouring the invaluable contributions of its remarkable team.
Three hundred colleagues from across its homes and support teams came together to celebrate the fantastic work they do and their incredible achievements. The event was a testament to the organisation’s deep appreciation for the tireless efforts of its remarkable people in providing exceptional care to residents within its 31 residential, dementia and nursing homes.
Bernie Suresparan, chief executive, said: “As we continue to deliver award-winning care to our residents, we’ve worked hard as an organisation and come through challenging times during the pandemic. I would like to thank all our staff colleagues for everything they do to make a difference. I am truly inspired by how our teams consistently come together and feel so proud to witness some of the most amazing teamwork I have ever seen.
“There’s just something about the We Care Group family that is different from the rest and that deserves recognition in itself.”
Ten deserving recipients were honoured for representing the epitome of professionalism and compassion in their respective roles with further awards, including Care Home of the Year, Outstanding Leader and Residents Choice Award.
In addition, We Care Group also took the opportunity to recognise the unwavering commitment of 11 staff members who have demonstrated remarkable loyalty and dedication through their long service to the organisation with over 295 years of combined service. These individuals exemplify the core values of We Care Group and serve as inspiring role models for their peers.
The success of the Shining Star Awards would not have been possible without the collective efforts of all those involved. We Care Group extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who took the time to nominate their colleagues, recognising the exceptional contributions of their peers. It is through these nominations that the true spirit of teamwork and appreciation shines brightly within the organisation.
Furthermore, We Care Group would like to extend its sincerest thanks to the sponsors of the awards whose generosity and support helped to make this event possible. Their commitment to recognising and rewarding excellence is truly commendable and deeply appreciated.
