The Princess of Wales celebrates Pancake Day at Slough nursing home

The Princess of Wales marked Pancake Day yesterday with a visit to a family run nursing home in Berkshire.

Her Royal Highness tossed a pancake during an activity for residents at Oxford House Nursing Home before visiting the home’s award-winning garden to meet with staff and volunteers.

Oxford House is a family run home providing nursing care for up to 34 residents.

During her visit, The Princess of Wales heard about the home’s use of cutting edge, interactive technology, including an interactive sensory table and an interactive wall used to support residents living with dementia.

Oxford House also operates a domiciliary care organisation, Oxford House Community Care, which provides support to enable people in the local area to reside safely and independently in their own homes.

The home is rated Good by the CQC with its latest review taking place this month.
