The Care Workers’ Charity launches employee grant giving scheme
With the care sector continuing to face a lack of support in 2023, The Care Workers’ Charity is offering providers the chance to take their own action by setting up support funds for their employees.
Through the Employee Grant Giving scheme care providers can work with the charity to set up hardship grants to provide support those most in need.
This could be for things such as cost of living support, help with childcare costs, setting up an energy bills scheme, or providing mental well-being and health support.
Benefits to your organisation include:
- Improved retention of care workers
- Supporting the financial well-being of your staff and increasing their resilience during the current cost-of-living crisis
- Promoting the dignity and well-being of your staff – people are often reluctant to share their personal circumstances with colleagues when they may be in financial difficulty or at risk of being evicted from their homes
- Providing an independent assessment of applications by The Care Workers’ Charity’s experienced grants team who can also signpost applicants to other information or resources if needed.
Funded by you and managed by them, this scheme is growing in popularity.
If you would like to learn more about the specific costs or arrange to discuss your situation with one of the team at The Care Workers’ Charity, please get in touch with [email protected] to book an exploratory meeting.
