Surrey care home The Burlington has launched an initiative to support and thank local emergency service and health care professionals.

Blues & Brews gives emergency service and health care professionals a place to come seven days a week to take a break, grab a hot drink and use The Burlington’s facilities and Wi-Fi. They will also receive a free limited edition Burlington Coffee Tumbler to use on each visit.

Admissions manager Kirsty Ford, who is spearheading the initiative, said: “We are all too aware of the challenges facing emergency services and healthcare workers and we are delighted to bring Blues & Brews to Shepperton. Anyone working in these sectors is able to come to The Burlington, knowing there is a welcoming and comfortable space to relax, catch up on any work and enjoy homemade refreshments.”

Home manager Emma Dudhee said: “As a care home we work closely with many of these services and we are always looking at ways to give back and say thank you.”
