Orchard Care Homes and Fulcrum Care back care workers in crisis
Leading care provider Orchard Care Homes and consultancy Fulcrum Care are supporting staff through the cost-of-living crisis.
Orchard Care Homes has launched its ‘My Orchard’ which features a full spectrum of wellbeing and mental health support as well as exclusive discounts on travel, food and drink, health and fitness, shopping, leisure and entertainment.
In a separate initiative, Fulcrum Care is joining The Care Workers’ Charity as a bronze sponsor, helping to support current and former care workers with financial grants, mental health support and providing access to vital services during economic hardships.
Commenting on its recently launched employee scheme for its more than 1,000 staff, Hayden Knight, chief executive at Orchard, said: “The cost-of-living crisis is particularly hard on people dedicated to caring for others and this is just one of the ways we are regularly supporting our staff, who can seek health and wellbeing support and take advantage of the thousands of discounts available. We are proud of the steps taken so far and look forward to sharing even more employee benefits soon.”
Commenting on Fulcrum Care’s sponsorship of the CWC, Tony Thiru, chief executive, said: “We’re proud to pledge our support to The Care Workers’ Charity and join their mission, vision and values for care workers across the UK.
“As care sector consultants, we are in constant contact with the care workers and care home managers who are on the frontline of the challenges faced by social care. Becoming a sponsor of the initiative is just one of the ways that we hope to continue helping those in need within the sector and create a better environment for our key workers.”
