Oakland Care and Care UK have been named Residential Care Provider of the Year in the small and large group categories at this year’s Health Investor Awards.

Judges said Oakland Care’s entry proved that the organisation was committed to high-quality care and acknowledged the importance of sustainability. The judging panel also highlighted Care UK’s focus on individuals, both residents and staff, and its continued nimbleness in the market.

“I was thrilled to hear that Oakland Care had been selected as a winner for Residential Care Provider of the Year,” said Oakland chief executive Joanne Balmer. “The team work so hard to consistently exceed expectations and drive innovation so I am delighted this recognises their talent.”

Care UK’s chief executive Andrew Knight said: “Winning this renowned award for the second year in a row is continued recognition that our passionate and caring teams are consistently delivering a high-quality service for residents across the UK.”

Adult care and support service provider National Care Group was named Community Support Provider of the Year at the awards. James Allen, National Care Group chief executive, said: “Winning such a prestigious sector award for a second year is a tribute to the hard work and the commitment of everyone at National Care Group. I’m immensely proud that our teams across the organisation have been recognised nationally for the remarkable work they do each and every day to empower the people we support to be able to live as independently in their communities as possible.”

The Domiciliary Care Provider of the Year category was won by Elder. “They clearly demonstrate that they’re adding value to the sector, and they have an impressive series of outcome statistics to support this. With Elder, digital innovation has arrived to the market and they deserve to be recognised,” said the judging panel.
