Nexus Care’s events team have been recognised for going above and beyond by being shortlisted for November’s National Care Awards.

The UK’s flagship social care awards event, which celebrates its silver anniversary this year, takes place at the Platinum Suite, London on 24 November.

Shortlisted for the Business Initiative of the Year Award, Nexus Events is changing the way that often-isolated people socialise and interact within society.

“Any nomination is a proud moment for all of us at Nexus Care. It reinforces our commitment to delivering top-quality service within and outside the home and providing the highest quality of life experiences to our clients,” said Monica Paraschiv, events manager at Nexus.

“We offer great opportunities to our vulnerable and elderly clients, for interaction, engagement and socialising through our programme, Nexus Events.

“We go above and beyond to provide fantastic opportunities for vulnerable people to go on days out, excursions and even fly to America to meet their family.”

The programme enabled Beryl, a 91-year-old great-grandmother from Sutton Coldfield, to fly to the US for the trip of a lifetime.
