Family-owned Athena Care Homes has appointed Desiree Jooste as registered general manager at Ashlynn Grange Care Home in Peterborough.

Jooste has more than 30 years’ experience working in health and social care, in home, regional and operational management roles.

Athena Care Homes and made up of four communities, offering dementia, nursing and residential care with capacity for 153 residents.

Jooste said: “For me the engagement of residents is paramount to what we do, I am passionate about offering a diverse range of activities that cater to all interests. I also want to create a genuine warmth within our communities so relatives and friends feel as at home as our residents. I want to spend as much time as possible on our communities so I can see that first hand.”
