New Care releases 21 private bedrooms at Greater Manchester care home

New Care has made 21 private bedrooms available at its Bramhall Manor care home in Greater Manchester.

The beds have been used to provide step-down care for hospital discharges in partnership with Stockport NHS Foundation Trust during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The partnership has been instrumental in helping the local NHS deal with the increase in hospital admissions during the pandemic and also during the busy winter months.

Commissioning director at New Care, Dawn Collett, said: “Over the last two years, the team at Bramhall Manor has worked tirelessly to help ease the pressure on the local NHS, offering a much needed and viable solution to the shortfall of hospital beds during the pandemic.  We’re now releasing a number of our desirable rooms to private residents needing residential or nursing care, and look forward to welcoming new residents to our friendly community.”

With a waiting list taking shape, it is expected that rooms will be taken quickly, but interested families are still encouraged to make contact as New Care also has a select number of private rooms at Cheadle Manor, its sister property on Stockport Road in Cheadle.

Collett added: “Unlike some care homes in the locality, our nursing team is available around the clock to support residents and assist with their longer-term requirements as their individual care needs change over time, making Bramhall Manor a true home for life for residents.”
