Minster Care Group to manage turnaround of former Silverline homes
Minster Care Group has been appointed to manage the turnaround of seven care homes previously let to Silverline Group by Impact Healthcare REIT.
The tenancies have been purchased by Melrose Homes Limited (MHL), a new company, wholly-owned by connected parties of Mahesh Patel.
Minster will receive a fixed management fee of £1,000 per registered bed from MHL (approximately £400,000 per annum plus VAT) to cover its turnaround costs.
Silverline failed to pay rent on the homes for the two quarters to 31 March 2023 and 30 June 2023.
A spokesperson for Minster Care Group and Melrose Holdings said: “With decades of combined experience in turning around struggling care homes to safeguard the best interests of residents and staff, we’re confident our teams are best placed to support the management of this process.
“Residents’ wellbeing is our priority and we place great emphasis on providing every person with the best possible service and experience.
“We are motivated to make a meaningful difference and we’re looking forward to developing strong relationships with residents and their loved ones, as well as the staff who have been retained in each of the homes.”
