Midlands operator buys Staffordshire care home

Regional operator Northgate Healthcare has purchased care home in Cannock. Staffordshire, a Good-rated home registered to provide residential and nursing care for up to 45 residents.

The two-storey purpose-built home has been owned by Ramesh Dalton and Ravi Selliah since 2013 and was brought to market to allow the pair to concentrate on their homes in other regions.

Northgate Healthcare owns four other homes across the West Midlands.

Ashley Haines, director at Northgate Healthcare, said: “With the purchase of Ashcroft Hollow now complete, this adds another nursing home to Northgate Healthcare’s portfolio. Modernising the home with a refurbishment programme is under way; our future thoughts are on a lapsed planning extension which, when granted, will increase the size of the nursing home to 57 single en suite bedrooms.”

Selliah commented: “The new providers are well-placed to improve upon the good work that we have done over the last 11 years. We are confident that Ashcroft Hollow will continue to benefit the service users, staff and other stakeholders within the locality.”

Business property advisor Christie & Co facilitated the sale.

Ashcroft Hollow was sold for an undisclosed price.
